    Scottish Deerhound Dogs can make good pets in Rhode Island if they match your IifestyIe. A Scottish Deerhound is an elegant, slender hunting dog with a rough coat. Scottish Deerhounds are gentle, well-mannered dogs. Deerhounds are extremely loyal and loving, especially toward children. This breed likes to chase and should not be around small pets such as hamsters, rabbits, or birds. Scottish Deerhounds do best with a large fenced yard or some acreage. Older dogs may be able to adapt to apartment life.
