The Scottish Deerhound makes unusual vocal noises. Scottish Deerhounds are sight hounds bred for coursing red deer. The Scottish Deerhound was once known as the Royal Dog of Scotland. Sadly, during World War II, many owners destroyed their Deerhounds because of food shortages.
