Scottish Deerhounds are gentle, well-mannered dogs. Deerhounds are extremely loyal and loving, especially toward children. This breed likes to chase and should not be around small pets such as hamsters, rabbits, or birds. Scottish Deerhounds do best with a large fenced yard or some acreage. Older dogs may be able to adapt to apartment life.
